01

Read the current agreement

Find the renewal and notice wording in the current vendor terms or signed order. Check whether a later amendment changed the arrangement. HeadsUp accepts a notice period in calendar days; if the agreement uses business days or another rule, confirm the applicable date directly and explain the difference in your notes.

02

Check what the calculated date means

The tool subtracts the entered calendar-day notice period from the renewal date. It does not interpret the contract, check holiday calendars or send notice. Treat the result as a planning input and confirm any cutoff time, timezone or required delivery method with the vendor.

  • Renewal: the entered start of the next cycle
  • Notice deadline: calculated from your calendar-day entry
  • Internal review: the earlier time your team needs to decide
03

Build in time to obtain a decision

The owner may need usage information, budget approval or a replacement plan before acting. Put that work ahead of the notice deadline. Export a calendar entry if useful, then configure alerts in your calendar app. Re-export when the record changes; downloaded calendar files do not stay synchronized.

04

Recheck after a change

When a vendor confirms a renewal, reduction or cancellation, update the actual record. A different contract length or new renewal date can change the next notice window. Review the terms again instead of carrying the old notice assumption into the next year.
